Overview
Flat-welded flange refers to a type of flange that is connected to a container or pipeline through an angle weld. It is an arbitrary type of flange, and the flange ring has two types: with a neck and without a neck. The structure of the flat-welded flange is simple, and less material is used during its fabrication. However, its rigidity and sealing performance are not as good as those of the butt-welded flange. It is widely used in the connection of medium and low-pressure containers and pipelines.
Suitable Medium
Welded flanges can be used in pipeline systems for transporting various non-high-risk media. They are suitable for conventional fluids such as water, air, steam, and inert gases, and can also be used for slightly corrosive media like dilute acids, alkaline solutions, and salt solutions, provided that the materials have the corresponding corrosion resistance properties.
